Data Logger-equipped Meteorological Observation Systems |
With these systems, analog or digital output
from observation sensors is input to a data
logger, with converts all signals to digital
data. That data is then stored in the data
logger internal memory or written to a flash
memory card. Recorded elements include wind
speed and direction, temperature, humidity,
precipitation, and voltage (snow accumulation,
barometric pressure, pulse values are also
available as options). By connecting the
data logger to a personal computer and using
specially designed application software,
the instantaneous and 10-minute average values
can be collected in RS232C format and either
displayed on screen or printed. Three different
options are available for the connection
between the data logger and PC: direct connection,
connection via a modem, or connection via
a card reader. The data logger can store from approximately one month to six months of data (varies depending on model.) |
